The mission of the Institute for Labor Studies and Research is to strengthen labor-management relations at the local, state, regional and national levels by providing teaching, research and service programs that improve the efficiency, mutual gains, and general well-being of employees, the unions to which they belong, and the businesses that employ them.
Every year the Institute for Labor Studies and Research conducts a wide variety of programs for thousands of trade unionists throughout the state, region, and nation. The non-credit programs are jointly planned with the sponsoring group and range in length from one hour to one week. Classes are conducted wherever and whenever it is convenient for the organization, including nights and weekends. The quality of the instruction is high and the cost of the program is low.
